Thread Insert Automatic Tang Break-Off Tool #DHC-P5-84

To eliminate the driving tang of the insert from interfering with the bolt, the break-off tool shown above is used. The tool has a spring loaded sleeve which actuates a punch that strikes the tang, breaking it off the assembled insert. Available for thread sizes up to 1/2" diameter. For sizes over 1/2" diameter, use long nose pliers.
